The Biomedical Engineering Program is six years old and offers Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. Degrees. There are presently six full time faculty members in BME, with several electrical and computer engineering faculty and industry- and clinically-based adjunct faculty supporting the program. There are approximately 90 BME junior and senior undergraduates, 40 master’s candidates and eight Ph.D. candidates. The Ph.D. program is two years old and we expect it to grow significantly over the next several years. Stevens is a thriving academic research community. The BME program is part of the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Biology and Biomedical Engineering. This structure offers a unique opportunity for research collaboration with faculty experts in the basic biological and chemical sciences. Additionally, our faculty have established research collaborations with clinical faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, New York Medical College, NYU Medical School, and Hackensack University Medical Center. Stevens is situated on a beautiful campus on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River with one of the best views of the New York City skyline.
