This position will be responsible for providing programmatic leadership for Environmental Enforcement programs for wastewater and stormwater management. This position requires a responsible and dynamic individual with strong leadership skills and a skillful understanding of the technical complexities of interpreting and applying a variety of regulations to the administration of wastewater and stormwater management utilities. Responsibilities will include managing inspection programs to meet regulatory objectives, auditor provisions, and alignment with the City’s Green Vision; implementing organizational change to align programs with new regulatory requirements, expand to new customers, and leverage opportunities for efficiency; close coordination with the operations of the wastewater treatment plant and the storm and sanitary collection systems. This position is part of the senior management team for Watershed Protection and is also responsible for making linkages and negotiating technical and programmatic solutions across departments, stakeholders, and agencies.

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to:

Education: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Sanitary, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.

Experience: 5 years of progressively responsible professional environmental, sanitary, civil, or chemical engineering.

License/Certificate: Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of California. Possession of a valid driver’s licenses authorizing operation of a motor vehicle in the State of California.
