Job Description
AMEC's Earth & Environmental division is recruiting for a Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Lloydminster, AB.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Geotechnical project engineering and/or project management role on a wide variety of transportation, resource industry, land development, terrain, and commercial/ industrial projects Preparation of technical proposals and reports Direction and training of junior geotechnical engineering staff Opportunity to collaborate with other AMEC offices/geotechnical engineering staff on projects in Western Canada QUALIFICATIONS:

University graduate with degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil (geotechnical) engineering Currently registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta Preferably 3+ years industry experience in providing practical geological/geotechnical engineering services relevant to a variety of projects (transportation, civil municipal, commercial development, resource industries, utilities, building structures) Strong written and oral communication (English) skills Valid Driver’s License Desire to provide excellent practical client service and a commitment to technical excellence Knowledge of regional market, local terrain/geotechnical conditions and/or a master’s degree would be an asset. Additional experience in geo/environmental, pavement design, or materials engineering would also be an asset.
