About the Position: You will work under the general supervision of the Project Engineer at the Galveston Resident Office in Freeport, TX. Work requires an understanding of the various crafts and trades found on dredging and construction projects, together with ability to meet and deal with contractors and their representatives using necessary diplomacy and courtesy.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-09 level, applicants must possess 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-7 level; 1) documenting contractor operations and construction processes, 2) providing input for contract modifications, scopes of work, progress schedule evaluations and claims evaluations for construction projects, 3) inputting daily reports into the Resident Management automated system.
GS-06 and above: One year of experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the next lower grade. Graduate education or an internship meets the experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement. Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction. Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade (or equivalent).
