CME Associates, Inc. a multi-disciplinary engineering firm is seeking a full-time Project Manager/Team Leader to work in our Project Management Department, located in our East Hartford Office. We currently have an assignment with CTDOT for their State Bridge Program and Federal Local Bridge Program and an assignment with CRCOG for their LOTCIP Program. The ideal candidate for this supervisory position will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a PE and 15 years of experience in transportation engineering (bridge and/or highway).
BS in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Experience managing a team of people working on multiple assignments.
Experience working concurrently on multiple tasks on multiple assignments.
Experience helping to set priorities and balancing workloads to meet project schedules.
Experience interacting directly with clients, consultants and staff.
Experience preparing for and running project meetings, including public speaking.
Ability to us MS Office Suite software.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordination with and primary point of contact for CTDOT, regional planning organizations and municipalities.
Coordination with other Team Leaders, Department Manager and technical support staff.
Helping to assess deficient bridges and determine rehabilitation alternates based on project needs, site constraints, CTDOT standards and policies and cost factors.
Review of Structure Type Study reports and comprehensive bridge Rehabilitation Study Reports which present the assessment of each deficient bridge and determine a recommended alternate.
Managing the internal technical and administrative review of design submissions for municipal bridge and roadway projects.
Overseeing and coaching junior staff with regard to career goals and growth within the Company.
The chosen candidate will be able to effectively communicate (written & oral), possess superior organizational skills, have proficient computer skills, and work effectively to meet scheduling requirements and quality control standards. The candidate will be required to uphold Governmental and Corporate Quality Assurance Policies/Procedures. This position requires an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and is able to perform them concurrently and is a team player. The following abilities and experience will be considered a plus: working knowledge of MicroStation; bridge inspection and bridge design experience, and experience working on CTDOT projects.
