The primary job function of the Controls Engineer will be to work in all aspects of automotive controls engineering. This will include hardware and software engineering, cabling, wiring and all other electrical standards. An initial training phase of approximately 6 months will take place in our Bluffton, OH facility. After the initial training phase, the Controls Engineer will grow to become a Project Leader in the Troy office.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understand and perform all controls engineering tasks, both hardware and software related
Apply international (IEC, ISO) and national (NFPA) standards
Evaluation of customer specifications and their impact to GROB’s products
Work closely with the controls department in Bluffton, OH
Eventually lead a small team of Controls Engineers
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience in engine & transmission assembly and ancillary assembly machines (Leaktest, Bearing Cap Assembly, Sleeve Assembly, Plug Assembly, Pack-in/Pack-out, Inspection Stations, Logistic Cells, etc.)
