A New England-based planning, landscape architecture, and environmental engineering firm, seeks a Senior Transportation Civil Engineer / Regional Office Manager for Springfield, MA. Relocation assistance provided.
This is a permanent position with six-figure ++ compensation and benefits package.
The Senior Transportation Engineer/ Manager will lead and expand the Springfield, Massachusetts office. This position includes responsibility for overseeing all aspects of technical work; staff, client management; business development ; marketing; and management of the day-to-day operational aspects of the office.
Within the first year, apply technical and business expertise to increase service sector by 10%, which will be measured by the profitability of projects and utilization of staff.
Within the first year, secure leadership roles in professional organizations and expand network throughout the western Massachusetts region. This would include publishing articles and making presentations at conferences and/or trade shows.
Within six months, develop a strategy to increase community involvement in the City of Springfield.
Within six months, put together a strategy that facilitates the mentoring and professional development of junior staff.
Within six months, work with senior management to develop a marketing plan for the Massachusetts office.
Within three months, work with the technical and marketing staff to produce proposals in a timely manner.
Within ninety days, develop a project cost tracking system.
MUST HAVE minimum 10+ years of experience working on a wide range of transportation related projects involving state and local facilities.
MUST HAVE BS in Civil or Transportation Engineering
MUST HAVE Project Manager level experience working on complex projects with multi-discipline staff.
MUST HAVE exp with counties, municipalities, regional planning agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
Must have experience working with, and relationships with MassDOT
Ability to conduct business development activities , including client management, proposal preparation, interviews, and business planning
MUST HAVE MA P.E. licensure - REQUIRED. CT license also preferred.
