Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s preferred) in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a directly-related field, plus extensive (at least five years) and progressively-responsible experience managing and implementing large and complex capital plans and projects, or significant development/redevelopment projects in the public or private sector, three years of which must have been in a managerial capacity. The equivalent combination of education and experience would be: a Master's degree equates to six years of experience.
Must possess or obtain within six months of employment, a license to practice as a Professional Landscape Architect, Architect, or Engineer, or have an AICP certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a directly-related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Certified Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Professional.
