The City of Ramsey is located 30 miles north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota and is seeking an Assistant City Engineer to work in its dynamic, growing community of 22,000 residents.
The City of Ramsey is seeking an Engineering Intern to work in its dynamic, growing community of 24,000 residents.
This position includes, but may not be limited to the following responsibilities:
Construction observation of street and underground utilities
Survey work; including field topography, construction staking, and record drawings
Record keeping and mapping
AutoCAD drafting for plan preparation and record drawings
Preparation of various written documents and reports; including engineering calculations, resident correspondence, and contractor correspondence related to project administration
Plan review for both public and private infrastructure improvements
Miscellaneous engineering duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications include:
Current student in their sophomore, junior or senior year, or must have completed one year of technical college education in Municipal Engineering; graduates looking for experience will also be considered
Proficiency using computers – word processing, spreadsheet programs, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid unrestricted class D state driver’s license with a good driving record
