Marine Structural Engineer with strong design background in ship docks, barge docks, bulkheads, mooring and breasting dolphins, and fender systems. Candidate must be a self-starter capable of designing marine structures and their foundations.
Prepares accurate and complete design calculations and sketches
Provides direction and details to designers for CADD development of marine structures design drawings
Prepares input to technical specifications and bid documents for marine structures components of projects.
Conducts field investigations when needed. Produces field reports with detailed sketches.
Bachelors Degree in Marine, Civil, or Structural Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer, Texas
10 years minimum hands/on marine structures engineering design experience, including design of foundations
Strong analytical and design skills in advanced structural design of marine structures including their foundations. Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to marine structures design. Good knowledge of wave and current loadings and mooring and berthing systems.
Proficient in STAAD Pro, L-Pile, MathCAD and related programs
Experience working with other disciplines understanding their interface requirements
Strong time management abilities. Good verbal and written communications skills
