TDOT offers a paid, 12-week internship program to introduce students to the importance of transportation and civil service. We offer summer internships in the areas of civil engineering, finance, urban planning & development, and human resources. We will accept applications through March 15, 2017.
Students must meet the following requirements to apply:
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
Be at least 18 years of age (as of May 2017)
Be at the level of junior or above and enrolled in an undergraduate program at a two- or four-year accredited college or university (as of May 2017)
Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale*
*Students who do not meet the GPA requirement may still apply if they submit at least 1 letter of recommendation in addition to their résumé and application. These letters of recommendation must come from non-family, working professionals and/or professors who are familiar with the student's knowledge and abilities.

Additional Salary Information: Student interns are not permitted to work more than 37.5 hours/week. All interns are considered part-time employees, therefore, they are not eligible to receive employer paid benefits. All student interns are paid an hourly wage of $12.50/hour.
