Responsible for managing projects and assisting staff in the development of technical solutions and strategies for small to large transportation studies and NEPA documentation (Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Studies (EIS)) especially for DOTD. Also responsible for leading efforts and participating in public meetings to explain the environmental impacts associated with proposed transportation projects, communicating effectively with environmental resource and permitting agencies, and business development activities for environmental planning opportunities in Louisiana and Texas.
Education: Bachelors Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Transportation Planning, Land Use Planning or a related field
Experience: 10+ years’ experience in environmental planning; Applicants must be able to provide examples of NEPA documents that he/she prepared or played a major role in preparing.
Licenses: PE, AICP or CEP; Completion of the National Highway Institute (NHI) NEPA and Transportation Decision Making Process Training Course or equivalent
