Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a civil/construction engineer. Responsibilities include coordination and management of the construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling and testing, and contract administration of Minnesota Department of Transportation construction projects. Travel to construction sites is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field from an accredited school; and at least 4 years of relevant construction project experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience as a lead inspector or project manager for MnDOT construction projects; MNDOT bridge construction certification; experience with drafting software; MNDOT aggregate testing, bituminous surface treatments, concrete field testing certifications; familiarity with MNDOT standards, specifications, and contract administration manual; design build or alternate delivery experience.
