What we are looking for:
We are currently seeking the best and brightest students for our Logistics Internship. This internship will allow students to apply their Logistics skills and gain hands-on work experience. Students will work on critical projects supporting logistics, transportation, and supply chain functions across multiple product lines. The internship will provide students the opportunity to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Logistics function. During the internship, students will be fully functioning team members within the Logistics Department with responsibility for Transportation and Supply Chain functions for LafargeHolcim (US) Inc.
Developing and implementing logistics strategies and solutions
Analyzing data and preparing business cases to gain approval for process changes
Resolution of freight and equipment issues
Rail, road, and/or marine transportation scheduling and planning
Rate and transportation network analysis
Provide analytical support for all transportation modes
Create, manage, and distribute road transportation performance metric package
Resolve prepaid shipment delivery issues with customers, terminals, and carriers
Participate in the management and evaluation of logistics service providers
Occasional travel may be required (25%)
Currently enrolled in a B.S or B.A undergraduate program, Junior or Senior preferred
Course work in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or Operations Management desirable
GPA: 3.0 or higher
Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a similar industry
