The Deputy General Manager – Operations will serve as a member of the Transit General Manager's strategic leadership team, providing high-level coordination and facilitation of frontline service delivery needs in all of Metro's work. He/she will work with the primary operating groups (Bus Operations, Rail Operations, Vehicle Maintenance, Power and Facilities) to deliver reliable and safe service and maintain the transit fleets and system to stringent safety and customer service standards.

Work Schedule This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is therefore not eligible for overtime pay. The position's base work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; work outside of the normal work day will be required.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and seven to ten years of increasingly responsible management experience, or any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of this position.
