The Contra Costa Water District seeks an Assistant Engineer for a position supporting engineering work in the planning, design, construction and operation of water systems facilities and related projects. The successful candidate will be a key, contributing member of a highly collaborative team with a primary focus on developing designs for the Pipeline Renewal and Replacement (PLRR) and Treated Water Facility Improvement (TWFI), which implements improvements at treated water reservoirs and pump stations. The candidate will also work on a variety of other projects including improvements at the District's four untreated water reservoirs and the Los Vaqueros Watershed.

EDUCATION: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of responsible professional civil engineering experience performing duties similar to a Junior Engineer with the Contra Costa Water District.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possession of a California Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate. Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid California driver's license.
