Draper Aden Associates is seeking a Survey Project Manager for our Richmond, VA Office. This individual will complete survey project tasks and assignments in a timely manner within established budgets. The project manager will also assist the Team Leader in the organization of proposed and existing projects by providing information relevant to estimated job hour requirements, schedules, fees and other contractual agreements.
The most frequent and essential work activities include:
Reviews relevant survey plats, descriptions and reports.
Supervises various disciplines on the project team, coordinating their efforts, mediating any disagreements and making decisions, which reflect the best interest of both the Firm and its clients.
Responsible for project schedules and budgets.
Ensures the maintenance of project compliance with federal, state, local and corporate regulations/requests.
Confers with client, obtaining timely decisions and approvals to ensure the project flows smoothly, alerts the necessary personnel of changes in established budget or contract.
Prepares cost and time estimates for proposals.
Ensures that quality control procedures are followed.
Ensures that client invoices are processed in a manner consistent with company policy and assists with collection, as necessary, in accordance with agreements.
Develops and implements the use of new and alternate technologies as deemed appropriate by the Division Manager.
Travels to project sites to clarify survey data.
Develops client and professional networks through professional associations, committees and business associations and promotes the professional standing of the firm through those networks.

Prerequisites for employment include:
High School Diploma or GED, Associate’s degree preferred
6+ years survey related work experience
Licensed Surveyor (LS)-Virginia
Intermediate level Microsoft Office
Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD
Proficient knowledge of MicroStation/InRoads
Valid Driver’s License
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience
