4 Year Degree
Licensed, experienced Professional Engineer (PE) with supervisory responsibilities to provide design, project management and team leadership for City transportation, stormwater and sanitary sewer utility engineering projects. An experienced engineering project manager capable of best practice supervisory skills and/or assuming work program team leader responsibilities.
We are in search of a Construction ManagementEngineer III who can maintain high quality standards while moving projects forward within budget and on schedule. Must have the ability to multi task and complete many varying assignments while maintaining appropriate billable hours on work assignments and projects. Position reports directly to the City Engineer.

Hiring Range: $57,324.80 - $71,645.60
Training and Experience:
Current State of Florida Professional Engineer license *or* current Profession Engineer license from another State that can transfer before six (6) month anniversary.
If suitable candidate can not be identified with a current PE License, those with a retired PE license may be considered assuming research has been completed and the license can be reactivated within the first six months of employment
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
At least five (5) years directly related engineering experience and project management capacity (or 4 years experience while employed by the City of Largo).
A minimum one year in a supervisory capacity (coaching, counseling, hiring, selection, managing performance, addressing performance improvement issues as needed and performing related supervisory tasks)
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License or a valid driver's license in another state allowing transfer within 30 days from date of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Training and knowledge of supervisory and leadership best management practices.
Advanced knowledge of municipal engineering practices and procedures including surveying, construction, infrastructure design and drafting techniques.
apply engineering knowledge to specific technical and infrastructure problems and to develop working contract plans and specifications
work as effective project manager and team leader,
communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
coordinate engineering projects and work programs.
