Lecturer, Mechanical, Industrial, & Systems Engineering (MCISE)
Position is full-time academic year, limited to 06/18/2022 with anticipated renewal.
The College of Engineering at the University of Rhode Island seeks to hire a full-time lecturer to support the department of Mechanical, Industrial, & Systems Engineering (MCISE) in the instruction of courses that support the mechanical engineering program. Anticipated start date is January 2022.
Teach 12 credits of Core Mechanical Engineering courses each semester. Courses may include (but are not limited to) fluid mechanics, heat transfer, basic laboratory, ethics, engineering analysis/numerical methods, engineering design.
Prepare student assessment and course review materials necessary for program review by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
The search will remain open until the position is filled. First consideration will be given to applications received by September 15, 2021. Second consideration may be given to applications received by October 15, 2021. Applications received subsequent to second consideration date (October 15, 2021) may not be given full consideration.
