Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team. This position could be located in our Myrtle Beach, Charleston, or Lexington, South Carolina office. Responsibilities include designing water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies; preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects; preparing design computations and quantity estimates; developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least two years of relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience
- Experience with civil engineering design project support for water/wastewater clients
- Experience coordinating with SCDOT and utility owners for relocation/upgrade of water/wastewater facilities
- Experience providing construction administration or field support of civil engineering projects
- Additional modeling or design software experience (such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks ICM, etc.)
- Project task management experience
- EIT Certification
