SALARY: $10,730 - $13,292 per month

The Port of Oakland is currently recruiting for a Port Associate Engineer (Civil Work). The current assignments are in Specifications (Engineering Services) and in Design and Construction (Project Design & Delivery).
- Specifications assignment: Focus will be on researching and developing specifications and standards, working with design engineers on public works project manuals, and developing templates, processes, and procedures.
- Design and Construction assignment: Focus will be on performing project management of design and construction, managing consultants and contractors, preparing and reviewing design plans and specifications, and serving as resident engineer managing construction projects and similar activities.
The minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering PLUS three years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Must possess and provide a valid California certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) as a Civil Engineer with the application.
