Salary:                    $107,180 Annually, negotiable depending on qualifications

Department:            Water Utilities/Engineering and EHS

Location:                 8100 Forest Hill Boulevard, WPB

Hours:                    8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday

Other:                     THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.

This is a challenging management engineering position with one of Florida's largest, most progressive utilities departments.  Oversees a $500M capital budget; provides leadership for 40 engineering and professional staff in the Design, Construction Inspection, and Plan Review Sections.  Directs and coordinates Capital Improvement Programs for the Water Utilities Department; responsible for the planning, design, construction and inspection of Utility facilities.  Identifies and plans long-range Capital Improvements; reviews, provides input and approves project plans, specifications and documents.  Responsible for construction coordination and inspection of all Capital Improvements and expansions including special assessment programs.  Performs special engineering studies; conducts and attends capital project status meetings and writes Agenda Items for the Board of County Commissioners. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, or related field; minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering and public works, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.  Equivalency:  Related Master’s Degree and three (3) years of related experience that includes three (3) years of responsible supervisory experience.

Necessary Special Requirement:  Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain State of Florida registration within six (6) months of hire.

PREFERENCE FOR:  Ten (10) years of experience directing/managing a large utility/consulting engineering office.
