Associate Civil Engineer, Zone 7, is a professional level class in the engineering classification series. Incumbents perform routine to difficult engineering work and are expected to exercise professional judgment within established parameters.
Our current vacancy exists in the Engineering Division, which provides engineering services for Water Supply System Projects and Flood Control System Projects. Depending upon suitability of the candidates experience and interest, the assignment could be either in the Water Supply Section supporting implementation for capital projects for the Water Supply System (water treatment plants, groundwater wells, water conveyance pipelines) or in the Flood Protection Engineering Section supporting capital projects for the Flood Control System, as well as other impactful duties.
SALARY: $130,624.00 - $158,787.20/year
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Geology or a closely related field. (Possession of a valid State of California Engineer-In-Training certificate may be substituted for the required degree.)
And
Experience: The equivalent of three years of full-time, progressively responsible professional engineering/geological experience.
Certificate: Possession of a valid California Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineer, or a valid California Certificate of Registration as a Registered Geologist issued by the California State Board of Registered Geologists and Geophysicists.
License: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
