Sales Engineer/Outside Sales Representative In our Geosynthetics and Stormwater Division

Position:  Sales Engineer/Outside Sales Representative

Ferguson is currently seeking a proven Sales Engineer/Outside Sales Representative to fill an immediate need with expanding market opportunities.

This position will cover the NY territory.

As a Sales Engineer/Sales Representative you will:

Develop and maintain relationships with the Engineering community, assigned customer base, including key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

Utilize engineering abilities by developing relationships with civil and geotechnical consultants, DOTs, municipal agencies and private entities to generate specifications for Ferguson Geosynthetics/Stormwater Solutions.

Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.

Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or sales experience in geosynthetics is preferred for this position.

A successful Sales Engineer/Outside Sales Associate will be goal oriented, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines, build relationships and enjoy a team atmosphere.

A strong sales presence.

Problem solving, leadership and listening skills.

Product and vendor knowledge (or the ability to quickly learn it).

Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
