Public Works - Senior Engineer

The Olympia Public Works Department seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Engineer.  This position performs civil engineering work in the design, construction, and management of municipal capital projects.  The selected individual serves as project manager for assigned projects, and is responsible for the full spectrum of project-related tasks, including coordinating and/or directing the work of consultants and city project team members, as well as communicating with other city departments, outside agencies and external stakeholders such as effected citizens, businesses, and private utilities.

Experience/Education

•            Four-year degree in Civil engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or other related field.

•            Two years of progressively responsible related experience required.

•            Washington State Registered Professional Engineer license required.
