Mechanical Engineer IV (SR-24)

Position Information: 
Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, and/or in the review and analysis of plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements; and performs other related duties as required.

Current Vacancies:  There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Planning and Permitting.  List may be used to fill vacancies in this and/or other departments.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:  Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Three (3) years of non-registered professional mechanical engineering experience. 

LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Registration as a professional Mechanical Engineer.

1.  Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional Mechanical Engineer.
2.  Applicants with an out-of-state license in Mechanical Engineering must obtain the Hawaii license prior to appointment.
