My client is a national Facilities Management provider who have a new vacancy for a Water Hygiene Engineer based from Edinburgh, working across various commercial contracts across Scotland.
Within this role you will be responsible for providing L8 control services assisting their clients, to ensure compliance within the set regulations.
This is a mobile role, working within a busy client facing environment.
Your main duties will include:
* Ensuring the smooth service delivery of all water hygiene related services which include:
* Water sampling & testing
* Flushing & Testing
* Tank cleaning
* Showerhead cleaning and disinfection
* Water risk assessments
* Closed circuit testing
* Legionella Risk Assessments
* Working in a client / customer facing environment, ensuring you remain professional
* Take a proactive approach to working in partnership with the client to ensure all concerns are dealt with in a timely manner
* Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted on a weekly basis
* Contracts with be based in West, Mid and East Lothian
The successful candidate should have:
* Previous experience working within a Water Hygiene role working within a hands on, engineering position
* City & Guilds Legionella Awareness would be advantageous
* Legionella and ACOP L8 would be advantageous
* Previous experience working within a Water Hygiene role working within a hands on, engineering position
* Excellent communication skills
* A full UK Driving License is required
* You may also need to complete a Disclosure Scotland background check
* Ability to work safely at all times and the ability to understand contract and Health & Safety requirements/regulations.
The package available:
* Up to £25,000 per annum
* Van & Fuel Card
* Up to 32 days paid annual leave
* Company Pension
* Training and Development - clear progression plan to a management position with 1-2 years.
* Opportunity to work overtime
* Working hours are Monday - Friday 40 hours per week (start and finish times can be flexible)
