An experienced Quantity Surveyor is needed to assist in the commercial and contract management of various civil engineering sites around the Aylesbury / Buckinghamshire area.
This position has become available due to a major Civil Engineering contract being awarded and need extra commercial assistance, you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure budgets are kept tight and in line with contracts.
As a business they have a reputation for working on complex high-profile Highways, Basements, Energy, Marine, Rail and Building projects internationally and within the UK.
This position will be a mix of remote working and attending site visits when needed.
Some of your duties will include:
Maintaining control of budgets on allocated projects
Providing assistance to commercial management team
Attending site visits
On-going cost reporting
Maintaining regular liaison with client and ensuring professional conduct at all times
Completing cash flow reporting
Tasks include:
Tracking project performance and data
Analysis of data
Submit weekly cost control report on time
Assist in negotiation, development and closure of contracts
About you:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or commercial management
Piling experience (Desirable but not essential)
Good IT Skills
Full UK drivers license
Strong knowledge with NEC option C forms of contract (Essential)
