Principal Structural Analysis Engineer

Expleo currently have an opportunity for Principal Structural Analysis Engineering , to support a brand renowned for their unique and futuristic vision for the automotive industry. Their highly efficient and advanced approach to the design, prototype and development of vehicles, means that they require a Principal Structural Analysis Engineering to assist with design reviews and promote effective communication between Styling, Engineering, EDM and the workshop. Provide technical leadership to the design team. Own parts of the relevant engineering process: define, document & implement the process, design, standards, tools and procedures.

The Principal Structural Analysis Engineering will be expected to liaise with the design, development, project management, commercial, prototype and production manufacturing teams, technical partners and suppliers to ensure the designs meet the requirements for timing, performance, manufacturability and cost.

The following attributes are required;
- Demonstrable experience using FEA techniques
- Knowledge of crash and safety legislation and consumer test requirements for different world regions
- Hand calculations to support the FE analysis
- Experience of analysing test data and correlation to CAE result
- Experienced in an OEM or Tier1 with a high level of technical knowledge on Durability and Chassis/Body Structures. Powertrain and Hybrid Systems knowledge will be beneficial.

For the Principal Structural Analysis Engineering ole, we require candidates to be educated to a degree level in a mechanical or aeronautical discipline, with at least 5 years relevant automotive experience.
