Our client is looking for a Head of Civil Engineering to join their London office.

Offering a dynamic, full-service consultancy approach to the construction industry, our client provides consultancy services in many business sectors across the UK and are now looking for a Head of Civil Engineering to lead and grow the civil engineering business.

Embodying a collaborate spirit, the civil engineering team work with clients from the very early stages of a project, utilising in depth knowledge and innovative thinking to provide a range of services from flood risk assessments and foul drainage design, to highway, level and pavement design.

The position involves:

·Motivating staff through effective performance and career development plans.
·Ensuring sufficient resources are assigned to projects to ensure successful delivery.
·Preparing fee quotes and scope of services for projects and to manage all aspects.
·Efficiently managing own and team's time expenditure on tasks to ensure project delivery is within agreed budget and programme.
·Managing existing client relationships and seeking new ones.
·Improving the quality of the design information produced through proactive monitoring and intervention.
·Ensuring designs are compliant, buildable, economical and meet the client's brief.
·Using effective communication with general management and all persons involved with the design process.
·Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System.

Requirements for the role:

·CEng/IEng and MICE or similar.
·Experience of successfully delivering highway and drainage projects
·Good understanding of CDM regulations.
·Experience leading a team and individual performance.
·Strong collaborative behaviours and interpersonal skills.
