ACS is looking for a qualified and motivated Geotechnical Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and consulting services for clients in the residential, commercial, public, energy, transportation, communication, and industrial sectors. This will include coordinating drilling/data collection, reviewing bore logs, reviewing construction material testing results, writing investigation reports, writing proposals and interfacing with clients. Also, you will be working closely with our in-house drilling operations to coordinate scheduling and overall logistics involved with our fleet of drill rigs. A prospective applicant will assign and evaluate laboratory testing data for geotechnical investigations. Duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Analyzing soil to determine engineering characteristics
  • Coordinate with Drilling Manager for schedule and logistics involving company owned drill rigs
  • Produce engineering reports
  • Conduct, coordinate, and supervise geotechnical field investigations (auger borings and test pits) and laboratory testing
  • Evaluate seismic analysis of soil strata
  • Review lab data and publish reports
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals
  • Interact with established and prospective clients

Skills and Requirements

Minimum qualifications for the position include:

  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist with minimum 5 years of experience
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona, or can be within a reasonable amount of time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Field experience preferred
