Principal Structural Engineer

This is a fresh and rare opportunity to join a leading local practice at a senior level. This business has offices across the region and country and specialise in a number of construction related disciplines, they are involved in several high profile local projects and have a healthy share of the local market. Projects immediately in immediate pipeline include several sensitive defence contracts and residential developments.

Responsibilities:

• Managing multiple projects
• Leading a strong design team
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients
• Ensuring timely technical delivery
• Supporting the regional Director in the smooth day to day running of the office
• Business development (this can be introduced gradually for less experienced candidates)
• Aiding in the development of the team and recruitment process

This opportunity requires an experienced structural engineer to join at either a Principal or Associate level with the view of running the Structural team and taking responsibility for the technical delivery of structural projects. Although this office has both Civil and Structural teams, it is predominantly Structural meaning anyone leading this team would be reporting to the office Director and acting as their number two.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience working with larger contractors and has a comprehensive knowledge of the construction process relating to Building Structures. This roles comes with excellent remuneration including a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 plus car allowance, 25 days holiday rising with service and a 5% company pension. This practice also offers a completly flexible working arrangemnet with the option to work from home ore the office as little or as much as you want.
