Redwood Search are currently working with an award-winning, market-leading Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Manchester to recruit an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a wealth of experience in the design of roads, highways and sewers.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Production of schematic/concept designs and detailed design of drainage and highways, through the use of Civils 3D
- Undertaking drainage and SuDS designs using Causeway Flow
- Production of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports for planning
- Liaising with other construction professionals in the development of designs and project management as required
- Directing technicians and engineers in the production of designs and drawn information and undertaking quality reviews of the designs and drawn information prior to issue
- Liaising with other disciplines within the business (i.e. Structures, Transport Planning and Geo-Environmental) to ensure the design is fully coordinated.
- Developing relationships with clients and other professionals with the aim of identifying and securing new project opportunities and helping to expand the discipline
- Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Hold or be working towards Chartered status (MICE/ AMICE or equivalent)
- IT literate with experience of civil design software packages and Microsoft Office
- Technically competent and understand the fundamental design requirements of highways and drainage scheme
- Hold a valid driving license
