An opportunity to focus on civil engineering delivery and management. This position will suit an intermediate, or senior level engineer with a consulting background looking for more variety with less emphasis on detail design. Your existing experience could have been gained in one of several relevant sectors including; transportation, industrial, infrastructure, buildings or heavy industry.

Our client's work has a focus on renewable energy, data centres, the civil /structural elements for power supply infrastructure, industrial and building projects. You will oversee sub-consultants providing environmental and development infrastructure design expertise and the work being carried out by a small and growing in-house civil engineering team. With long established clients in growth areas of the economy their civil and structural capability is expanding, excellent career prospects are on offer.

The company: A limited liability partnership employing over two hundred staff nationally. They are one of the longest established firms in their sector with expertise covering building, civil engineering, project management, expert witness, land development and surveying.

Your role: Working alongside the principal engineer, your duties will include end to end management of projects from client specification through to design delivery. Providing guidance to junior staff, management of sub-consultants and technical advice on civil engineering matters. Other day to day duties will include civil assessments, feasibility studies, liaison with clients and site visits, typically once or twice per week. More generally, you will assist in the expansion and improvement of their engineering function.

About you: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer with upwards of five years' experience. Exposure to the design or delivery of civil / structural engineering work that ideally includes reinforced concrete and steel. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and technicians. A valid UK driving licence.
