Civil Structural Engineer - Rail - Glasgow

Our client is an award winning, high performing, Tier 1 engineering consultant who is leaving the competition in their wake as they deliver successful project after successful project. Continued success means that they are now seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with a rail bias to join their team in Glasgow. From bridges to platforms, all structure will need you attention on some of the most exciting projects in the country.

There is opportunity for this to be a hybrid role - split between working from home and the office.

What we are looking for:

• BEng or MEng
• Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE)
• Minimum of three years' experience post-graduation in civil engineering design
• Experience of steel and concrete design to Eurocodes
• Experience in computer software for the analysis of structures
• Production of design deliverables - packages of drawings, specifications, etc. and supervision of engineers and BIM/CAD technicians

Desirable skills and experience:

• Ideally experience of composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical and timber design to Eurocodes
• Experience in the design of rail related structures. (including loading to Eurocodes, element design and detailing to Eurocodes)
• Ideally experience in finite element software for the analysis of structures
