Civil Engineer

Are you extremely motivated individual who can help to drive all project activities and bring valuable experience to the civil engineering team? Contract Scotland are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer on behalf of our client for a Utilities contractor who specialise in telecommunications and cabling projects.

Our client is going through a sustained period of growth and expansion to various contract wins and are looking to add to their Civil Engineering team. With a long-standing reputation within the local market this is an exciting time to join this thriving company to deliver and upgrade the telecom infrastructure across Scotland

As a Civil Engineer you will be responsible for:
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
Ensure contractual obligations and client expectations are delivered
Ensure work is carried out to specification
Good communicator - must be able to network, liaising with clients and build relationships
Supporting the Site Agent and Contracts Manager, and any other site engineering duties as required
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site

Background/experience required:
Previous experience working post qualification experience working in Civil Engineering
Previous experience in telecoms or cabling projects would be an advantage
Appropriate civil engineering qualification - i.e HND/C or Degree
Competent in the use of AutoCAD
You should have a valid CSCS card
UK drivers license

This role is a mix of site and office based, given locations of projects, you should be flexible on travel and be open to working away from home if required (1-2 days per week at most)
