Engineering Surveying Team Manager -Compressed Air Equipment
Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Birmingham (the role will involve travel from the Midlands to the South of the UK)
Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £39,000-£45,000 p.a. + company vehicle + company bonuses
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Surveying Team Manager to join our client's business on a permanent basis. Our client assists customers in achieving compliance and meeting safety regulations with compressed air and steam equipment in a variety of environments.
This role will be a blend of working out in the field as an active engineer, as well as supporting the engineering and support teams for my client's business. The successful applicant will be involved in monthly management meetings.
This role will cover the Midlands and South of the UK and as such, it will entail overnight stays during the week. There will also be travel to my client's offices in the north of the UK several times a quarter.

Responsibilities
- Surveying pressurised equipment to produce Written Schemes of Examination
- Identifying all items within pressure systems for examination
- Carrying out statutory examinations in accordance with the Written Scheme of Examination
- Carrying out internal and external reporting
- Surveying safety devices to ensure they are in full working order
- Providing technical advice to colleagues
- Supporting junior engineers with training and development
- Being a point of escalation for customer engineering queries
Experience/ Skills Required
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) qualified as a minimum
- Good knowledge of pressure systems and of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)
- Competent with undertaking examinations on a range of pressurised equipment
- NEBOSH certified, or working towards it would be beneficial, but not essential
- Previous leadership is desirable
- Available to work away from home during the week
- Full clean UK driving licence
