Renewable Systems Engineer / Consultant - Renewable Energy
Edinburgh - remote in Scotland
Circa £55,000 DOE + benefits

Introduction
Astute are proud to be working in partnership with a Renewable Energy business who are recruiting their next wave of experts to facilitate the ongoing growth. The Renewable Energy Systems Engineer or Renewable Energy Systems Consultant will be assisting on several developments with a continued push towards carbon neutrality and the integration of new renewable energy systems.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Emerging Technology Lead, as a Renewable Energy Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading on the delivering a variety of technologies to deliver innovative and viable operational systems
• Providing technical oversight to the effective integration of different renewable energy systems
• Liaising and working with specialist companies/sub-contractors and designers, ensuring delivery of innovative and complex packages
• Undertaking technological and economic feasibility studies for renewable energy systems
• Having at least a general understanding of the likes of Solar PV, onshore wind, hydrogen, electric vehicle charge points and battery/energy storage systems
• Providing analytical and technical support to multiple departments
• Leading the internal team in developing the Emerging Technology department
• Other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience
• Professional membership/training as an advantage
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience in and knowledge of a variety of renewable energy technologies
• Experience in financial modelling of renewable energy systems is massively advantageous

Salary & Package
