  • Reviewing comprehensiveness of geohazard assessment and likely mitigation measures (including reroute potential).
  • Define site investigation scope required to close out outstanding geohazard and problem ground condition issues and enable development/refining of mitigation designs (determine extent, risk and mitigation measures for outstanding geohazards).
  • Develop detailed geotechnical designs (including geotechnical models) and Work Instructions for permanent landslide mitigation, complex river and road crossings, deep open excavations and cuttings, surface and subsurface water control, problem foundation conditions for above ground installations (using findings from the geotechnical site investigations). • Present Geohazard Workshops on landslide risks and mitigation options.
  • Identify the extent of problem ground conditions such as buoyancy and liquefaction potential, shallow water table (buoyancy and dewatering potential) and fault crossings. Prepare Geohazard Field Reports presenting investigation findings.
  • Carry out assessments of likely rippability and blasting potential for pipeline trenching and foundation excavations in bedrock for above ground installations (permanent works) and cuttings (temporary works). Assess feasibility of mechanical trenching methods.
