I'm looking for a Senior Engineer (Civil) to join an award winning and forward thinking house builder and developer in Suffolk. On offer is a salary up to £70,000 basic per annum and package which includes a car allowance or company car, pension, healthcare, discretionary bonus and other benefits. This will involve a mix of office working as well as site visits and some work from home as the role progresses.

This will suit those who are looking to make the move from an engineering consultancy in to a nurturing client side role or those who are already with another house builder or developer from an engineering background and want to work in an exciting and dynamic team.

As the Senior Engineer, you will be providing engineering input and support to the technical and design team throughout the design and construction stages. You will be managing external civil, structural and utilities consultants as well as the adoption process from secured agreements through to adoption. Reporting in to the Head of Engineering and Technical Director, you will need to be proactive and forward thinking and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

You will be working on large, design led housing developments across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex and will be offered ongoing training, support and most importantly, good career progression which includes internal promotion plans, salary reviews and discretionary bonuses which have been regularly hit by those within the team.

Key Requirements:

  • A Civil Engineer by background.
  • Experience working on residential developments, either in consultancy or with a house builder or developer.
  • Able to provide engineering input and support throughout the design and construction stages (highways, drainage, external works etc).
  • Able to manage external consultants including civil, structural and utility consultants.
  • Able to secure legal agreements linked with adoptions and managing the process from design through to final adoption.
  • Able to work alone as well as part of a wider team.
