NEC SUPERVISOR (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
£30,000 to £45,000 + plus benefits (Permanent)
GLOUCESTER
An exciting opportunity to act as NEC Supervisor, supporting the implementation of civil engineering schemes in Gloucester by ensuring construction works are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications and drawings under the NEC forms of contract.
Their Transportation Division is currently seeking NEC Site Supervisors to join the major projects team delivering a significant portfolio of construction projects in Gloucestershire. You will be working on highway projects being delivered under the Local Authority Framework Contract that we have with Gloucestershire County Council.
Key responsibilities:
Experience undertaking design of highway infrastructure is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of CDM regulations.
Demonstrable experience acting in capacity of the 'Supervisor' under the NEC 3 or 4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
To ensure a consistently high standard of quality control and supervision is maintained for each project, via site visits, assessing contract implementation with due regard to highway, health and safety and environmental legislation.
To always provide a service to the nominated NEC Project Manager by ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied by Contractor are as specified in accordance with the Works Information.
To assist the NEC Project Manager with managing contractors, sub-contractors, liaising with statutory utilities and dealing with technical queries.Qualifications:
Working towards, or ideally, a Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE, CIHT or similar
Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in a construction supervisor role.
Hold a relevant CSCS card or equivalent.
Full driving license.
