Principal Civil Engineer - Leamington Spa

Our client has a reputation for providing one of the best working environments within the industry. We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their Sustainable Infrastructure engineering team within the Leamington Spa office. As a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, our client works throughout the UK and overseas within a wide range of sectors including Property, Defence, Water, Waste and Energy.

As a senior member of the team, the Principal Civil Engineer will work on the delivery of drainage strategies and designs for a range of exciting infrastructure projects, across a diverse range of sectors.

What you will be doing:
  • Working alongside Civil Engineering team and Water Management Specialists to create, develop and detail innovative, functional and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the design team
  • Adhering to quality and technical assurance procedures for all deliverables produced by the team
  • Delivering engineering services/projects to other sectors, including waste, water, utilities, and industrial
  • Complying with the company's HS&E, quality, financial, risk management, business and policy requirements

What we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals that have a strong base of technical skills coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills gained in either a multi-disciplinary or engineering consultancy environment who now want to enhance and diversify these skills within a growing organisation that will support their future development.
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer with relevant professional body
  • Demonstrable drainage engineering experience
  • You will have specific experience of all or some of the following fields; Drainage pipe network design, SuDS design, Highways drainage, flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessment, EIA, and water resources management.
  • Experienced user of MicroDrainage, and/or Civil 3D
  • Consultancy experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable technical review/assurance skills
