Senior Environmental Engineer, Llandelli, Wales

Our clients are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to join their environmental compliance and technical assessment team based out of its South Wales Office, located in Llanelli. The post will involve working across a range of development sectors, but will be predominantly focused on Waste and Recycling, Minerals and Energy.
The role is predominantly office/home based, but UK travel to other Group offices and to clients/project stakeholders will be considered necessary. The successful candidate will report to the Principal Environmental Consultant, and Environmental Director as required, and will be responsible for the preparation and management of environmental reports and technical assessments in support of Environmental Permit Applications, planning applications and relevant environmental compliance commissions.
Applications are therefore sought from candidates that are numerate, with competent and efficient report writing skills considered essential. Proven skills in undertaking qualitative and quantitative geological/hydrogeological risk assessments, hydrological risk assessments and/or landfill gas risk assessment would be advantageous.
The position is very much a forward-facing role and the successful candidate will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with project management of colleagues as may be required, along with working under their own initiative, in a dynamic fast changing environment.
Our clients are therefore seeking a candidate who is a minimum of degree qualified in an appropriate environmental/engineering field and has five or more years experience working within a relevant sector.
