Would you like to work on interesting and innovative projects in a great team, advance your skills further and use state-of-the-art tech/machinery?

Do you want to secure a permanent opportunity with an esteemed Tier 1 company, one that continues to experience significant and sustained growth both from their innovation and an overall investment by the UK government into the rail network.

The Role:

You'll be an integral member of the team and play an essential role in the early stages of various projects, showcasing your expertise and skill set to ensure that ground investigation packages are carried out efficiently and to the highest of standards.

Flexibility is required as you will sometimes travel and lodge if the site is too far away from home, with time split between both site (days/nights/weekends) and from the office/your home.

Day-to-day responsibilities can include:

  • Oversee drilling works using state-of-the-art drilling rigs
  • Work closely with specialist drillers who'll be collecting soil and ground samples
  • Schedule lab testing to use specialist software to complete visual analysis on samples
  • Provide a specification report on lab results to the relevant stakeholders
  • Log BS5 930 reports and understand the content of the ground

Company Information:

You'll be joining one of the largest and well-respected Tier 1 infrastructure companies in the UK, having worked on some the largest rail projects over the past few decades.

Renowned for their award-winning safety record and unrivalled efficiency, you'll be welcomed into a progressive and exciting environment, where everyone is treated like family.

They also invest heavily in the future of the business, whether it is on professional qualifications (for example Chartership), or state of the art complex machinery.

Their objective is to ensure they have the best people and machinery to ensure contracts and deadlines are met to the highest possible standards, whilst maintaining their Social and Environmental values.

Remuneration:

£28,000 to £40,000 Per Annum

(Depending on competency & experience)

This will be accompanied with substantial benefits including (but not limited to):
  • A Company Car
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Funding & support for required Tickets, Qualifications and Chartership

Along with a clear succession plan and plenty of options for career progression.

About You:

A Geotechnical Engineering background with experience in either: Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Rail, Highways or Water.
