My client who is one of the world's leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firms offering unparalleled opportunities for talented individuals in search of a rewarding career. Their Infrastructure business is looking for a flexible Structural Engineer to support their Cities and Development, Energy and Defence clients around the UK in a range of exciting and unique design and construction projects These include Euston Station HS2, multi-phase residential developments, large scale education campuses and oversite developments across London.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist and Collaborate in the planning and execution of projects within defined constraints and budgets.
  • Lead and undertake structural engineering analysis and design under the supervision of Practice Leadership.
  • Direct and supervise Junior Engineers and Technicians to produce relevant structural information and check their work.
  • Carry out structural surveys.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Experience with parametric modelling software and software coding (Dynamo, python, C++ etc.) is desirable Represent on Site visits and at design team meetings.
  • Experience with parametric modelling software and software coding (Dynamo, python, C++ etc.) is desirable and may be a development target.

Key Experience Required:
  • Experience in the design of structures using the conventional engineering materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
  • Whilst they are seeking expertise in all building sectors, stations and transportation sector experience is especially desirable.
  • They are likewise keen to meet with engineers who have a good understanding of complex interface issues i.e., constructing buildings on challenging sites and over existing infrastructure.
  • Sound commercial awareness and project management skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both on one's own and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Appreciation of embodied carbon and sustainability issues associated with the built environment.
