As the aviation industry continues on a path to recovery we are building our airport engineering team to ensure we can continue to support our clients as they implement their development plans alongside their existing asset management initiatives. We have maintained our delivery capability to our clients during the pandemic and following some key project and framework wins we are now looking to strengthen our team and have a number of positions available. We are therefore looking for an Airport Civil Engineer from a Senior to Principal level to join our growing internationally respected Airport team based in Epsom.

We can offer individuals exciting opportunities to support on a wide range of international and UK based airport projects. We are well established at all major UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester and have a growing portfolio of overseas commissions.

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in co-ordinating and delivering designs in an airport environment. The candidate would be a Chartered Civil Engineer with airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery of schemes from concept to detailed design. The position requires credibility, competence and technical excellence as it will be a role working closely with industry leading clients, stakeholders and will necessitate the development, approval and implementation of robust design solutions through collaborative working, trust and proactive management of client demands.

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experienced in airfield engineering design.
  • Knowledge and experience of airfield pavement design, materials specification and maintenance including principles and application of UK and international pavement design methods.
  • Application of EASA, CAA, ICAO, and UK Airport operator standards and design requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the Heathrow, Gatwick and DIO airports technical requirements and design processes would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in co-ordinating and delivering design solutions in the airports sector on time and to budget.
  • Ability to manage the internal technical supply chain, including budgets, programme and quality of deliverable.
  • Experience in developing client relationships and work winning activities.
  • Ability to develop and price project proposals and manage bidding process
  • Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations).

Responsibilities:
  • Technical responsibility for the delivery of airfield design projects.
  • Project Management and profitable delivery of our consultancy services.
  • Developing new and fostering existing client relationships.
  • Developing competitive project tender proposals.
  • Obtaining stakeholder input and agreement to technical solutions.
  • Co-ordination and management of other discipline inputs into projects.
  • Mentoring and development of graduate engineers and technicians.
  • Representing our corporate values of Safety, Integrity, Collaboration and Innovation.
