Role overview
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our team based in Hale (just outside Manchester), as part of our successful national Civil and Structural Engineering Division.

You will join a very experienced team of civil and structural engineers with an impressive track record and a client list including some of the biggest consumer brands in the market. As an ICE approved employer, Hydrock can support your professional development in working towards either Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. Our in-house supervising civil engineers and delegated engineers will be pleased to support your training.

Your role will include:
  • Delivery of scheme and concept designs
  • Delivery of detailed design including full tender and construction packages
  • Liaison with statutory authorities, architects, the design team and contractors
  • Attendance at client, design and site meetings
  • Management and development of less experienced engineers and technicians

What we are looking for:
  • MEng/ BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Working towards Chartered Membership/ Associate Membership of the IStructE/ ICE
  • At least three years' experience in building structures design
  • Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills
  • Self-motivated team player with good people skills
  • AutoCAD and Revit skills
  • Knowledge of BIM - desirable
  • Knowledge of Tekla Structural Designer - desirable

If you're in the office every day you'll have a designated desk to use.
