Job Description
This role falls into the technical field of Civil engineering structures and soil geotechnics studies. You will represent SEGULA Technologies whilst being working (onsite) with one of our prestigious clients.
We are looking for a new colleague to support the Civils Team Lead of our client. The activities aim at modifying and adapting the design received from the Back Office, substantiating the adapted design of the reinforced concrete structures on the Hinkley Point C project. Work will be done closely with the Client and the Client's Tier 1 Civils Contractor.
The civil work design is made on TEKLA, and used as a deliverable directly for construction activities for different tasks.
Main Activities
1. Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data.
2. Modifying reinforced concrete structure designs compliant with the ETC-C, other relevant codes,
3. Maintaining QA procedures in delivering the CW design
4. Working and reviewing with the designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models modified,
5. Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
6. Liaising with colleagues in Europe/ worldwide
7. Liaise with subject matter experts.
Key relationships:
The activities will be performed on HPC site, in JDO offices, working on HPC project. The activities will be performed within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment, sticking to a project way of working with high expectations on delivery time, schedule, safety, and nuclear safety.

Qualifications
Essential
- Knowledge of Structural Civil Work, Civil Design and Construction
- Experience in Nuclear civil work OR complex structure
- Experience in design of concrete structure
- Experience in detailed design or conceptual design in an office or on a civil construction site
- Experience on project dealing with material interfaces
- Software: TEKLA, PDMS
- This role will require BPSS clearance.
Desirable
- Experience with on-site design support
- Experience on wide projects
- The start date would be Mid/ End of Jan 2022 for 6 months with the potential to be extended to 9-12 months, depending on requirements
- Fixed Term contract in line with project duration, inside IR35 only
- Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum, depending on experience
