Scuderia AlphaTauri - Wind Tunnel Engineer - Electronics

Scuderia AlphaTauri is looking for a Wind Tunnel Engineer with a focus on Electronics. In this role you'll be responsible for ensuring that the electronics used by the aerodynamics department are designed, manufactured and maintained to the highest quality. All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

• Developing new electronic systems to assist with aerodynamic testing
  
  Use CAD for electrical system modelling including creating formboard drawings and pin outs.
  
  Ensure the functionality of all electrical systems used by the aero department.
  
  Investigate new technologies and systems related to aerodynamic testing
  
• Managing electrical component stock and ensuring suitable spare stock is available at all times.
  
  Calibration of sensors
  
  Liaising with both internal and external customers to ensure that systems are compatible
  
  Test and sign-off of all electrical systems as ready for use for aero test purposes
  
• Documentation for correct production, assembly and use of electrical systems including CAD models, assemblies and drawings.
  
  Specification of any test equipment and rigs required for sign-off of electrical systems
  

EXPERIENCEYour areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:

• Knowledge of Siemens NX CAD software or similar
• Experience with CAD cabling modelling tools (NX electrical routing preferable)
• Experience of manufacturing wiring harnesses using TE Raychem system 25 wiring
• Experience of working within an R&D environment
• Experience of EtherCAT and CAN systems
• Delivers timely information and reporting (delivering to deadlines set on the job list and keeping on top of communication).

• Degree level qualification in Electronic Engineering or similar
• Travel 25%
