We are recruiting for an Airport Civil Engineer to join our growing internationally respected Airport team based in Epsom. We can offer individuals exciting opportunities to support on a wide range of international and UK based airport projects. We are well established at all major UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester and have a growing portfolio of overseas commissions.

The Airport Team is founded on experience and dynamism, armed with a ‘can do' attitude and underpinned by exemplary technical, engineering, operational and leadership backgrounds from across the aviation sector.

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in coordinating and delivering designs in an airport environment. The candidate would be a Chartered Civil Engineer (or near chartered) with airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery of schemes from concept to detailed design. The position requires credibility, competence and technical excellence as it will be a role working closely with industry leading clients, stakeholders and will necessitate the development, approval and implementation of robust design solutions through collaborative working, trust and proactive management of client demands.

  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer that is Chartered or near to being Chartered.
  • Experienced in airfield engineering design.
  • Knowledge and experience of airfield pavement design, materials specification and maintenance including principles and application of UK and international pavement design methods.
  • Application of EASA, CAA, ICAO, and UK Airport operator standards and design requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the Heathrow, Gatwick and DIO airports technical requirements and design processes would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in co-ordinating and delivering design solutions in the airports sector on time and to budget.
  • Ability to develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain, including budgets, programme and quality of deliverable.
  • Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations).

  • Technical responsibility for the delivery of airfield design projects.
  • Project Management and profitable delivery of our consultancy services.
  • Developing new and fostering existing client relationships.
  • Obtaining stakeholder input and agreement to technical solutions.
  • Co-ordination and management of other discipline inputs into projects.
  • Mentoring and development of graduate engineers and technicians.
  • Representing our corporate values of Safety, Integrity, Collaboration and Innovation.
